I'm Alive, I Swear!

Hey everyone!  Yes, I've been pretty MIA since Disneyland, I apologize!  Things have been absolutely crazy and of course blogging is unfortunately what always gets put on the back burner while life takes over.

After Disneyland, I started my new job, which seems really cool.  Bad part?  Blogging is strictly forbidden while at work (gasp! We even had to sign a waiver saying we understand that) so even when I have a few extra minutes during my lunch in the office, I can't really update.  Commuting into NYC every day is going to take some geting used to as well.  While it used to only take me a 20 minute drive at my old job, the new commute is at least an hour each way using bussess and subways.  It might be time to invest in an iPad so I can update the blog on the road! :)

Classes also started the same week I started work so to say my schedule is busy is an understatement!

As for working out?  I've still been CrossFitting on a regular basis.  AND I competed in my first CrossFit competition!  It was AMAZING and I loved every single thing about it.  I'll be posting a recap of the event sooner than later, I hope.  Proud to say that out of the 30 teams competing, we came in 14th.  Plus we were the top team from our box.  Some of these competitors were amazing!

I also ran the Rock n' Roll Philly half a few weeks ago and PR'd again!  I'll be writing a race recap about that race too.  Daniel and I had a great time wandering Philly and stuffing our faces before and after the race, haha!

This past weekend was the runDisney Tower of Terror 10-Miler and reading all of the race recaps has me so envious.  Sounds like a lot of you had a great time despite the crazy humidity!  I'll be posting some guest posts from the weekend soon!

  3. I can't wait to read about your CrossFit competition, I'm still dying to try it (especially after your back to back 1/2 PR's!), a box just opened in my town so I really need to get my butt over there!

If you need any photos of ToT or anything let me know and I can send some over. Hope the new job is going well!

  4. I just wrote a profile of a CrossFit coach for American Athlete magazine. It certainly sounds like crazy fun! Looking forward to hearing more.
